Wade is set to begin his third season as a member of the Cougar’s staff. Last season he split his time helping as Assistant Coach and Head Coach, while also playing an integral role in the Cougar’s front office. In June, 2009, Wade was named Director of Player Personnel, to go along with the title of Assistant GM. Prior to his arrival in Prince George, Wade applied his trade at the University of Alaska Fairbanks as an Assistant Coach for three years. He has also worked in the WHL as a Head Scout for the Moose Jaw Warriors and as Head Coach for the Prince Albert Raiders. While working his way through the coaching ranks he also was the Head Coach/GM of the Yorkton Terriers (SJHL) for three years. As a player he spent four years at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. He was an NHL draft pick of the Quebec Nordiques and later signed a three-year deal with the Nordiques. When Wade is not at the rink or on the scouting trail he enjoys spending time with his family.
