Local children and their families will continue to benefit from a growing partnership between the Prince George Cougars and Scotiabank during the 2011/2012 season. The partnership expands on the success of Scotiabank Saturdays, which was introduced last fall to give families a break at the box office.
On Scotiabank Saturdays, which includes all 14 Saturday games this season, tickets for children under 12 years of age will be available for just $5, plus HST. Scotiabank Saturdays also adds extra entertainment for families with the Scotiabank Kids Zone. Every Saturday children are invited to participate in fun activities and win great prizes. After the game, Cougars players will be available to sign autographs.
New to the 2011/2012 season is the Scotiabank Skater program. At each Friday game a player from the Prince George Minor Hockey Association will be designated the Scotiabank Skater and will join the team on the ice for the pre-game introduction ceremony. Scotiabank Skater takes to the ice at the Cougars home opener on Friday, September 30.
Young Cougars fans are encouraged to come participate in fun-filled activities at the Scotiabank Kids Zone located on the concourse of the CN Centre. Scotiabank employee volunteers from branches throughout Prince George will be on hand to cheer the kids on and coordinate activities such as the shooter tutor, face painting, coloring contests and much more! The Scotiabank Kids Zone will run every Saturday before the game and during intermissions.
