Cougars Pink Power Play GameNews 2008-09Oct 1 2008Cougars Pink Power Play GamePress and Information Release PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Cougars are teaming up with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) CIBC Run for the Cure to present the Pink Power Play game on Friday, October 3rd. The evening will celebrate breast cancer survivors and raise awareness about The Run, which is quickly approaching on Sunday, October 5th. The team will wear pink laces as well as pink skate and stick tape; the Cougars encourage fans to join the players in supporting The Run by also wearing pink to Friday’s game. A silent auction featuring Cougars game-worn jerseys will take place during the game with profits benefitting the CBCF. “The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for a Cure is pleased to partner with the Prince George Cougars for the Pink Power Play game,” said committee member, Jean Brien. “We look forward to spirited bidding on the team’s jerseys that will raise important funds to help create a future without breast cancer.” “The Cougars are honoured to team up with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation this season to help focus attention on a disease that affects women and families in Prince George. We look forward to making this an annual event for the Prince George Cougars,” said Business Manager Brandi Brodsky. |
