Prince George, BC -- The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce the selection of Jerome Flaake of Germany with the 9^th selection in the 2008 CHL Import Draft.

Flaake is a 6’1”, 189 pound forward who hails from Guben, Germany. Jerome took the DNL, Germany’s top junior league by storm last season. He posted 33 goals and 41 assists for 71 points in 32 games played. Flaake also spent time with the national U-18 team and the U-20 team. His year finished with a 30-game introduction to the DEL, Germany’s top men’s professional league. In his time there, he was exposed to life as a professional.

The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Flaake at the recently completed NHL Entry Draft in the 5^th round, 130^th overall.
