Cougars Christmas CampaignNews 2007-08Nov 26 2007Cougars Christmas CampaignPRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Cougars are proud to launch their “Community Christmas Campaign”. The “Community Christmas Campaign” is designed to help support local organizations during the holidays throughout a variety of initiatives created by the Cougars. Burgers for Kids- Friday Dec. 7; Catch the Cougars at all five A&W locations around Prince George between 6:00-7:00pm on Friday December 7. Players will be taking your orders, serving food, and visiting with customers. 50% of sales from all five restaurants between 6:00-7:00pm will be donated to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Prince George to assist with mentorship programs. Cougars Food Drive- Saturday Dec. 8; the Cougars will hold a food drive to help benefit less fortunate individuals throughout the Holiday Season. Bring a non-perishable food item to the Cougars Dec. 8 game vs. the Prince Albert Raiders. All food collected will go to the Salvation Army. Cougars Kettles- Tuesday Dec. 11; The Cougars will be at Pine Centre Mall from 6:00-8:00pm as part of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign. SPCA Drive- Friday Dec. 14; the Cougars love animals too! A pet food and supply, and office supply drive will take place to help the local SPCA. Bring your donations to the Cougars game vs. the Kamloops Blazers to help out a great cause. Teddy Bear Toss- Saturday Dec. 15; the Cougars will hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss. When the ’Cats score their 1st goal, fans throw stuffed toys on the ice. Bears should be placed in plastic bags, and Save on Foods will be on location handing our bags to those who need them. All bears collected will go to the Salvation Army and RCMP Victim Services Unit.
