Two Cougars Selected for Under 18News 2001-02Apr 4 2002Two Cougars Selected for Under 18The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce that two Cougar players will be competing at the upcoming 2002 World Under 18 Hockey Championship in Piestany, Slovakia. Michal Lukac will be joining the Slovak team, while Jonathan Filewich will be joining the Canadian National Team. Other WHL players joining Filewich include Josh Harding, from the Regina Pats, Mike Egener, from the Calgary Hitmen, Chris Schlenker, from the Regina Pats, John Boychuk, from the Calgary Hitmen, Dylan Stanley from the Tri Cities Americans, Ryan Keller from the Saskatoon Blades, Jarret Lukin from the Kamloops Blazers, and Brett O’Malley from the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Also from the WHL, Bob Lowes, head coach of the Regina Pats, will be joining the coaching staff as Assistant Coach. The World Under 18 Hockey Championship is being held from April 11 to April 21, in Piestany, Slovakia.
