NAHL AWARDS NEW MEMBERSHIP TO RICHARD BRODSKY

WICHITA FALLS, TX -- The North American Hockey League announced today that a new membership has been granted to Richard Brodsky. The NAHL Board of Governors unanimously approved the granting of a membership to Mr. Brodsky during a conference call held Friday July 2nd.

"The NAHL is very fortunate to welcome a man of Richard Brodsky's stature in the game of hockey to its ownership ranks," said NAHL commissioner Michael Santos. "The league is pleased to maintain its presence in Wichita Falls and bring its game to the great fans of that city. I believe everyone concerned will be pleased with Mr. Brodsky's dedication and the results will be apparent on the ice."

Mr. Brodsky has a long and distinguished career in Canadian major junior hockey. He currently owns the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League. He previously ran the Saskatoon Blades and served as chairman of the board for the WHL, helping pioneer that league into a major developmental league for professional hockey.

"I am thrilled to be part of the NAHL, the fastest growing junior league in North America," Mr. Brodsky said. "The team needs the support of the Wichita Falls community, but we recognize we have to earn that support and that is our goal. I would like to thank the executive board of MPEC for the enthusiasm and support they've put in me and NAHL hockey."

The team will be named the Wildcats and compete in the NAHL's South Division. Mr. Brodsky hired Brian Meisner as head coach and Mike Perkins as assistant coach. Both were given two year contracts.
