Cougars Acquire New Trainer
In their search for a new team Trainer & Equipment Manager, the Prince George Cougars went after a winner. They found those winning attributes in Jerrett Alderson (BSc. in Anatomy, BSc. in Kinesiology). Jerrett will now become a part of building a winning club in Prince George.
“We are very excited to have Jerrett join our organization,” says Cougars General Manager Daryl Lubiniecki. “Jerrett comes to us from the Humboldt Broncos, who won the Royal Bank Cup this year. A national championship is important experience to have. He also has experience working with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies sports program, and that is a great organization. His education, his background in hockey, the success he has been a part of, these are things we think very highly of.”
Jerrett calls Saskatoon, Saskatchewan home at the moment, and he was raised in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan – home of current Cougar Adam Flick and many other hockey personalities. He will move to Prince George in mid-August to be ready for Training Camp.
“I’m excited to move up to the major-junior level,” he says. “I will hopefully work up to an even higher level, so this is what I have to do see how that goes. I want to carry on the success I had with Humboldt in Tier II, winning a national championship. The Cougars look like they have the right set-up, there, for success. I want to do what I can to be a part of that.”
