This site has all the answers to any questions Rowdy Cat might have about all of Canada’s top amateur hockey teams including the World Junior Team, Canada’s Men and Women’s Olympic teams, Sledge Hockey teams and more!  A great site to check out!

How well do you know our National Anthem?  This web-site covers everything from lyrics, actual downloadable versions of "Oh Canada" to the history of the anthem.  Practice up and maybe one day you’ll be singing the national anthem at a Cougars game!

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has been entertaining and educating kids for years with their wonderfully Canadian television programs, (ask your parents if they remember "The Friendly Giant" or "Mr. Dressup") and now they have fun on-line games for you to check out, too!  (Rowdy recommends "3 on 3 Hockey" and "Dodger’s Olympic Snowboarding" just to name two).

We love our flag with it’s big red maple leaf and wide red borders, but how much do you really know about it?  For example, do you know that it might not be as old as you think, and that your grandparents may remember a very different flag being flown at their elementary school?  Rowdy Cat loves exploring this site to learn all about our flag and how it has become one of the most easily recognized national flags in the world!

This is one of Rowdy Cat’s favourite sites to go to when he needs to look up historical information on hockey - great for those school projects!  This site has everything from "Early Days of Hockey" and "Great Hockey Stories" to information on "Women’s" and "Aboriginal" Hockey.  You’ll be amazed at what you will learn here!

One of Rowdy Cat’s all time favourite hockey stories is, "The Hockey Sweater" by Roch Carrier.  This Canadian classic tells the story of a young die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan who is mortified to learn that his Mother has replaced his worn-out Canadiens sweater with the dreaded blue and white sweater of the Toronto Maple Leafs...  Rowdy Cat invites you to the National Film Board of Canada’s site to watch the 10 minute video adaptation of the book, (directed by Sheldon Cohen), and enjoy a little bit of Canadian nostalgia.  (Did you know that this story is so well-known that a passage from the book appears on the back of the Canadian $5.00 bill?)

Everyone knows that Vancouver, BC is the host city for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, but how well do you know Rowdy Cat’s newest mascot friends, Sumi, Quatchi and Miga?  For example, did you know that Quatchi, a young sasquatch dreams of becoming a world-famous hockey goalie?  This is one of Rowdy’s favourite sites to visit to not only learn about the upcoming Olympic games, but also learn a little bit about the mascots, (make sure you watch the video!) and play some fun games with them, too!
