Spirit of 2010 Prince George Atom Major Spring HocPrince George Cougars graduate Brian Matte helps launch the Spirit of 2010 Prince George Atom Major Spring Hockey Tournament at the Elksentre. Matte was joined by Prince George-Mount Robson MLA Shirley Bond and Renee Trepanier of the Prince George Spirit of BC Committee. 8 teams took part in the tournament with 136 players involved. The Spirit of 2010 tournament is the largest of its kind in Canada with more than 50,000 young athletes taking part in 225 tournaments around BC. |
Scotiabank Breakaway for BooksCougars Armstrong, Watson, Halliday, Scherger, Asham, Poulter, Jackson, Viedensky and Matte visited several grade 3/4 classes at Southridge Elementary on Monday, March 9th as part of the Scotiabank Breakaway for Books program. After the reading component the classes joined the players in the gym for a game of floor hockey. |

Home Depot Backyard Rink Winners- the ShawsCougars players joined the Shaw family at their home in the Hart for a game of hockey on the Shaw’s backyard rink. The Shaws won the Home Depot Backyard Rink contest this season. |
Season Ticket Holder PartyThe Cougars celebrated with their biggest fans at the annual season ticket holder party held at Two Rivers Gallery. Fans enjoyed a guided tour of the gallery as well as the opportunity to test their creativity in the 'make Art make Sense' component of exhibit. |
