Cougars Launch Christmas Campaign
The Prince George Cougars are once again proud to launch their "Community Christmas Campaign". The "Community Christmas Campaign" helps to support local organizations during the holidays throughout a variety of initiatives created by the Cougars.
    
"The Cougars have a history of generous support for non-profit organizations throughout the year. We understand how important it is to help out families in need, especially over the holiday season, and encourage our fans to give generously to the various non-profit organizations who will be attending our games in November and December,” said Cougars Business Manager, Brandi Brodsky.
    
Cougars Community Christmas Campaign:
    
Gift of Hope- Saturday, November 29; the Cougars have teamed up with Canadian Mental Health Association to collect new socks, gloves and scarves as they host the Regina Pats.   
    
Coats for Kids- Sunday, November 30; bring a used coat or jacket as the Cougars face off against the Saskatoon Blades at a special 6:00pm start time. The Rotary Club of Prince George Yellowhead and the Salvation Army will collect the coats for kids in need.
    
Northern Lights Festival-Thursday, December 4; the entire team will be up at Connaught Hill from 6:00-7:00pm to hand out candy canes and collect letters to Santa Claus.
    
New Toy Drive- Friday, December 5; bring a toy or gift for kids from 0-17 years old and the Rotary Club of Prince George Yellowhead will ensure all the gifts are sent to the Salvation Army to be given away in the Christmas Cheer Packages.
    
Rotary Food Drive- Saturday, December 6; the Rotary Club of Prince George Yellowhead is gathering food for the Prince George Food Bank at the December 6th game vs. Everett.  Please bring non-perishable food items and the Rotary Club will deliver it all the Salvation Army.
    
Bucks for Big Brothers Big Sisters- Sunday, December 7; catch the Cougars at both Prince George Boston Pizza locations from 3:00-7:00pm as they bus tables for bucks to raise money for BBBS of Prince George. Boston Pizza and Molson have teamed up to donate $1 to BBBS from each pizza, pasta, Molson Canadian and Coors Light sold all day on December 7th. In addition, anyone who donates to the BBBS tip jar will be entered into a draw to win one of two autographed Cougar jerseys. 
    
SPCA Food & Supply Drive- Wednesday, December 10; pet food and supplies will be collected at the game to support the local SPCA.
    
Cougars Christmas Kettles- Tuesday, December 16th; the entire team will be at two locations in Pine Centre Mall from 6:00-7:00pm as part of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign.
    
Teddy Bear & Toque Toss- Wednesday, December 17; this year the Cougars are including toques in their annual Teddy Bear Toss. When the Cats’ score their first goal against the Kamloops Blazers Cougars fans can toss their stuffed bears and toques on the ice. The bears and toques will benefit the RCMP Victim Services Unit and the Salvation Army.
