Drew Owsley has once again earned the title of Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month- this time for the month of January. Owsley played in 11 of the Cougars 12 games during the month of January. In 11 games, he recorded three victories and faced over 40 shots on goal in six of the 11 games he played. Owsley’s January highlight came on January 13th when he made 49 saves in a 6-3 Cougars victory over Lethbridge. He had a save percentage of .906 and was instrumental in leading his team to victories over Lethbridge and Victoria.

Fans voted in an online poll at www.pgcougars.com, with Owsley receiving 44% of all votes. Owsley will be honoured on the red carpet at tonight’s home game versus the Kelowna Rockets.

Each month the Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month, as chosen by the Prince George Cougars fans, will receive a gift certificate for Shogun courtesy of Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths. At the end of the season fans will have the opportunity to vote for each of the five finalists to take the title as Player of the Month. The winner of that vote will receive a 14k handcrafted gold ring courtesy of Darrell Hubbell at Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths.
